Sugar-Free Energy Gum: What to Look For (and What's in Ours)
Most energy products lean on sugar or a long list of additives. Sugar-free energy gum is a simpler way to get caffeine without the sugar. Here's what to check on a label, and what's in ours.
What to check on the label
- Caffeine per piece. Gums range widely, so compare mg per piece, not per pack.
- Sweeteners. Sugar-free gums use sugar alcohols and other sweeteners. Read the ingredient list so you know which.
- Source of caffeine. Some use synthetic caffeine, others use plant sources like green coffee bean extract.
- Extras. Some add electrolytes or vitamins.
