Energy Gum for the Gym: Using Caffeine Gum Before a Workout

A lot of people reach for caffeine before training. Gum is a handy option: it's small, needs no water and fits in a gym bag.

Why gum

Because gum is chewed rather than swallowed, part of the caffeine absorbs through the lining of your mouth. Many people notice it within about 5 to 15 minutes, so you can chew a piece while you lace up instead of planning far ahead.

Simple way to use it

  • Chew a piece shortly before you start your warm-up.
  • Know your own tolerance. Each piece of our Sour Apple Power Pack has 100 mg of caffeine, about a cup of coffee.
  • Count caffeine from everything else you have that day.

What's in the Power Pack

Sugar-free sour apple gum with 100 mg natural caffeine from green coffee bean extract, plus electrolytes from Himalayan pink salt and 25 mg magnesium, 10 calories per piece, 15 pieces per pack.

Contains caffeine. Not recommended for children under 18, women who are pregnant or nursing, or people sensitive to caffeine. Not for pets: xylitol is dangerous for dogs.
